Bulk concentrate packaging

Aseptic bag filling for tomato paste

The bag filler transfers suitably processed tomato paste into a compatible aseptic package. The illustrated system has two drum positions, individual roller lanes and overhead filling-head supports. Its useful output depends on product delivery, metering and the complete bag-change cycle, not just the flow while a head is open.

Match the package before setting the fill duty

The bag fitment and its connection to the head determine the product interface. Bag volume, support drum or box, package preparation and changeover sequence must be compatible with that connection.

The family includes 1–220 L formats and options for larger packages. That range spans selected configurations; it does not make every small bag and drum format interchangeable on the pictured arrangement. Specify the actual bag, fitment and support format.

Include package changes in output calculations

Product viscosity and temperature affect delivery to the head and the end of each fill. Agree whether the fill is controlled and checked by mass or another defined measure, and set the accuracy assessment for the intended package and product condition.

Two filling positions support the handling sequence, but do not by themselves establish a packing rate. Account for connecting and disconnecting bags, moving drums and the upstream response during interruptions.

Make filling part of the integrated process

The filler receives product from the established thermal process; it does not preserve untreated paste simply by putting it into a bag. Line preparation, transfer piping, head condition and the package all belong to the selected operating sequence.

Cleaning and any sterilization sequence must be appropriate to the chosen system. Document the return-to-production criteria and provide access around both head positions, controls and product connections.

Questions about this equipment and process

Can a reported bag-size range define fill speed?

No. Fill speed depends on the selected head and metering arrangement, the product condition and all package-handling time in the cycle.

Is an aseptic bag filler the retail ketchup filler?

It is a bulk-package system. Retail cans, bottles or sachets require their own container handling, closure and process specification.
